New virtual assistant and chat messenger Home and Allo.
On Google’s I/O 2016 Developer conference Chief Executive Sundar Pichai revealed its new virtual assistant along with the speaker appliance Google Home. But this wasn’t all from Google and artificial intelligence. Sundar also introduced a new messaging app called Allo, which uses Google’s new virtual assistant. On the side of Allo Google also introduced Google Duo, a partner app for end-to-end video encrypted calls.
Google’s take on it’s rivals
Looking at the newcomers from Alphabet’s Google Inc. we see a lot of answers to some of Google’s rivals. Home, Google’s new virtual assistant is the answer to Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa. And with Allo Google has brought its direct correspondent to Facebook’s WhatsApp Messenger. Google’ video chat app Duo is the take on Skype Video Chat.
When to expect?
The final roll-out for all of Google’s new product will be around this summer. So until them we will hear and see a lot of more features and advertising from Google. So watch the video from Google and get some insights about the new virtual assistants.
